Postcards to Grandma

My grandma, Elsie, age 97
Hi!  I'm Jake!

MY FAVORITE PEN PAL EVER

My grandma is 97.  I love her.  I used to write her every month. Sometimes, I'd write her more than once a month.  As soon as I got her response, I would write her right back!

The past couple years I moved, fell in love, got married, and got sidetracked.  So, I have written less frequently. Plus, the past couple years, her health has declined significantly.  So she has written less frequently.

On March 24th, I decided to write her everyday for the rest of her life.

EIGHT POSTCARDS I WROTE MY GRANDMA:

March 24

March 25

March 26

March 27

March 28

March 29

March 30

March 31

MARCH 31 8:00 A.M. EASTERN STANDARD TIME

My Grandma, Elsie Gifford passed away on Monday. I guess Grandma was like "I've read enough of these." Because the Post Office does not work over the weekend, the three postcards that I wrote Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will not reach their recipient.  My postcards are ghostcards.

I am not going to get all sad and regretful.  But a postcard is an easy way to reach your loved ones. Don't wait until it is too late.

Going to go for a walk.  There is a nice breeze.

Bye!  I'm Jake!

P.S.

I just realized the March 28 postcard said "I love my wife.  I can't wait for you to meet her."  Considering that my Grandma just went to heaven, that seems like I am saying "I can't wait for my wife to meet you in heaven."  That's dark.
